The main difference is the amount of the lash extensions applied and the time it takes!
Generally, we all have roughly 90 to 160 lashes on the upper lid of our eye. With half-set, from 30 to 45 lash extensions will be applied and it only takes half an hour. Most clients who like the natural look that go for the half-sets.
Whereas, the full-set, there will be double the amount. 70-80 lash extensions will be done and it takes about an hour. You will love it if you are looking for more distinctive definition eye make up looks. Also, a perfect option if you need a glam-up before a big day, like a wedding or a party.
Classic lashes are more thick & bold, laid single extension on each lash, whereas Premium lashes give you more soft and fluffy volume, created by adding fans of two to three synthetic extensions to each of your natural lashes.
You can choose the thickness, length or the curl-types upon consultation. Every eye shape is different.
Whether it's Classic or Premium sets, we proudly only use high-end quality bonding agents, eyepatches and lashes that were manufactured in South Korea and Japan. It lasts longer and reduces discomforts during and after the treatment.
They last about six weeks. Because extensions are attached to the lash itself, they last as long as the natural growth cycle of your own lashes.
After your appointment, it's important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your technician. Some tips to keep in mind include avoiding getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours, avoiding oil-based products, and not rubbing or pulling at your lashes. Unintentional irritation on the lashes happens a lot while you are asleep. Try to sleep on your head. Our senior lash tech, Eden, recommends brushing gently through your lashes with a dry spoolie brush every morning.
We would recommend within 6 weeks from the first extensions. But, of course, everyone's natural lash cycle is different. Everyone has different ways of maintaining them too. Some people hardly lose any lashes while some are losing half of the extensions already in the same period of time.
Infill sessions includes lash shampoo, the removal of the out-grown extensions (that are likely to twist and turn) and filling the gaps to maintains the original look that you achieved at the initial treatment.
So whenever you feel you need to come in for the infill, feel free to book yourself in!
For Lash Extensions, No. The bonding agent will be applied on your lashes and doesn't touch the skin during the process. But if you have hyper-sensitive skin allergy history, you are more than welcome to pop in for a patch test 24 hours prior to the treatment.
For Lash Perm, If you ever have had hair perm done and had no allergic reaction, then patch test is not needed. But if you are planning to get Lash Tint or Brow Tint done for the first time, we would suggest a patch test 24 hours prior to the treatment.
It is not ideal to get both Perm and Extensions at the same time. It might be just too much for your natural lashes.
If you are planning to get them done both for the optimal result, we would recommend minimum 3-7 days gap between the treatments.
Did you know that lash extensions were hardly known in the UK until Jinny Kim from South Korea introduced the one-by-one lash extension technique to London in 2003, more than 20 years ago?
This technique quickly gained fame among celebrities and royals, making its way into numerous magazines. Jinny's success led to the creation of JinnyLash, a brand that has expanded from Kingston to central locations like Selfridges in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Jinny Kim has also trained over 1,500 technicians not only in the UK but also in the Middle East and Asia in the art of lash extensions.
In 2023, despite the thousands of lash extension salons offering lower-cost services, Jinny Beauty stands out. We're committed to using top-quality Korean lashes, tools, and techniques for exceptional results. Our dedication to quality has earned us a reputation as a leader in the field, even in a competitive market. Experience the Jinny Beauty difference today!
It’s a semi-permanent treatment that gives your natural eyelashes a dramatic curl and lift, making them look longer and fuller.
Lash lift (Lash perm) is a treatment that uses a special perm solution to lift and curl your natural lashes. The process involves applying a silicone shield or pad to your eyelids to hold your lashes in place. Then, a perm solution is applied to your lashes, which softens and relaxes the hair follicles. After that, a setting solution is applied to lock the lashes into their new shape. The entire process takes around 45 minutes to an hour and can last up to 8 weeks.
Not only is it safe and effective, but it’s also a great alternative to lash extensions. However, it’s important to choose a certified and experienced technician to perform the treatment to ensure that you get the best results possible.
After getting eyelash extensions, it is important to follow proper aftercare to ensure their longevity and appearance. Here are some tips to follow:
